This triptych is a testament to the life I’ve carved for myself; dedicated to hedonism and the silent awe of being nude. Im enamoured with the deliciousness of my transgressions of flesh; each smack, bruise, welt and bite mark are revered as symbols of pain subverted. I rebut my labourious upbringing of prudish behaviour, as well quashing the insidious urges of hands unwanted, with my untidy, naked body and reflect on the peaks and valleys of my flesh - each line signifying a rule broken, a perversity explored, a pleasure had and a lesson memorised (albeit, unlearned).

A photographer obsessed with the erotic and carnal. My preferred medium of analog photography has allowed me the space to monitor time with myself, and with those beyond my lens. Through a sometimes painful, sometimes joyous self-portraiture practice I’ve found a way to process the physical aspects of stored sexual and mental trauma. Sitting with myself; my expansiveness, my fears, heartbreaks, the trespasses of my flesh and mind, my success, my rage, my tenderness...something transformative happens. Over a prolonged period this practice of self monitoring/recording when I’m either too hideous with egotism or too empowered by my own sensuality to face the world has taught me how to tear myself from myself without causing unwanted harm, spilling blood, or being swallowed up by binge/purge cycles of soothing. My art practice speaks to my bdsm practice speaks to my philosophical practice speaks to my love practice. This integration of life practices is what I aim to reflect in most of my work.
