This series explores the concept of the panopticism of queer identity. As a photographer, I watch and capture images of others; but in doing so, I am not capturing who I photograph, I am looking for a way to find a fragment of myself through the lens. When envisioning myself as a pansexual, bisexual, queer woman, I hope to exude carnal energy. More often than not, I can't - so I try to find and capture this in others, or in my environment. I look for the soft and intimate, the dreamy and natural, the harsh and vulgar, and the pornographic and abrasive. This series is a window into my voyeuristic nature; watching and capturing others turns me on artistically, mentally, and sexually. Not because I aim to objectify those I photograph, but because I aim to reconnect with my queer identity by trying to seek fragments of my carnal energy through my practice.
